I disagree with all of that.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
That was our best attack of the second half. Palace were all over the place defensively.

If he had gone for the corner flag, half of WHO would be moaning we are as unadventurous as under Allardyce.

If he had made a decent cross and we'd been as ruthless as we were in the first half and scored, not one person would be saying that he should've gone to the corner.

All this stuff about Antonio's stupidity is based on hindsight.

His shit cross is where he was at fault. He's only stupid if that cross went where he meant it to go, which I strongly doubt.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
But if he does what a normal person would do and runs the clock down then nothing else can happen anyway?

I give up!

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Blagg: I'm not at all sure he decided to make a shit cross. He probably meant to make a decent one which could have led to our third.

Surely those calling him stupid mostly think he shouldn't have crossed at all and headed for the corner flag?

I don't agree. A decent cross would still have resulted in the ball being in our possession long enough for them to run out of time to score, and may have got us further ahead.

I do see the difference, do you see that lots more has to happen to concede a goal than one mistake that far up the pitch?

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Do you really not see the difference between a forward losing the ball in normal play and a forward giving possession away when in the opposition's corner with only seconds remaining?

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Antonio made a bad mistake, as I said earlier though, lots of other thing had to happen for the ball to end up 90 yards away in the back of our net. Forwards lose the ball all the time, if it was inevitable that losing the ball in the opponents 6 yard box ends up in you conceding a goal, every game would be a cricket score.

The food for thought is that the two points thrown away by Antonio's lack of nous could mean the difference between survival or relegation.

That scenario is even more likely when the player in question hasn't played a minute of professional football under Sam allardyce.

I agree. I think when players are in the middle of a game they think 'what would I do here if Sam allardyce was manager, and what can I get away with now bilic is manager' . For sure.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
The odd thing about Antonio's reaction was that, from where he was, he could have actually attacked the Palace goal, got a shot in, made a meaningful pass, won a corner, been fouled - virtually anything bar what he does. That meaningless pass across goal was the most bizarre decision he could have made. Do I blame him? Yea but more interestingly what made him think he could do that? If Fat Sam had been boss do you think he's have done what he did? I think we all know the answer. It's hard for fans when they see the players not playing for a manager, but a lack of fear of the consequences suggest that's what happened yesterday. My guess is Antonio got a worse reaction from Hart - who looked angry and bewildered on MOTD last night - than Bilic.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
There were 6 mins of injury time
When Antonio had the ball it was coming up to 96 so if he been fouled or fouled someone or even kicked it out for a throw the whistle would have gone.
Refs seem now to let the phase of play play out so when he gave them the ball time was up. So we should have fouled before they got over the half way line.
More naivety

Got to say it as you see it, our players believe they are on easy street, no excuses for not putting in effort.

Watched a stream yesterday and when Antonio came on and realised Zab was coming off the look on his face said it all, no respect for the manager- his performance echoed it.

Feel for Slav , but it’s time up.

Reminds me of how the Chelsea team hounded out the moany one, only for the same players to immediately start performing once he went. Cunts to a man and a disgrace for our team to be even thought of in the same way.
That team should hang their fucking heads in shame, but won’t.

Carroll, Arnautovic, Antonio, Ogbonna all have cost us points and have acted like cunts this season. Is Bilic to blame for that? No.

However he's team selection, formations and substitutions have been appalling for a while now. We won't break top ten and he won't get a new contract so I don't see the point of keeping him any longer. Get someone new in now who can turn it around over xmas.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
I also think fonte going off inured played a big part in the result aswell. In an ideal world i think bilic would have wanted to put carroll on for ayew or Hernandez just to hold the ball up their end of the pitch to relive some pressure.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
So bilic thought they were tired after the Wednesday game, poor little souls! Many didn't play Wednesday and if he and his coaching staff got the squad fit it might help. Seems to me we only played for 15-20 minutes in both the spuds and yesterday's game.
